Angling/Fishing

Experience sea angling at its best in the pure waters of the Atlantic Ocean aboard An Duanai Mara, Licensed for 12 passangers it operates from Creevy Pier and Killybegs.

Quality sea angling can be had ten minutes from Creevy Pier, the main species are pollock, dog fish, bass and mackerel.

A sight seeing trip aboard An Duanai Mara is a fantastic way to appreciate the natural wonder that is Donegal Bay. Head out for a day trip to Slieve League, the highest sea cliffs in Europe or why not visit Inishmurray Island and its vast Colonies of sea birds.

Walking

The Creevy Costal Path is a 10km walk which starts from the pier and goes in two directions. To the South the path follows the cliff top and shoreline to the Erne Estuary - a great habitat for for wildlife and birdlife. To the North the path enjoys great views of across the bay of St. John's Point and Slieve League. The walks are waymarked with directional markers and stiles in place to assist crossing walls and fences, for less strenuous walking there are many quite country lanes in the vicinity of Creevy  and Rossnowlagh Strand is another popular walking venue located nearby.

Golf

Nearby at Murvagh, is the 18 hole, Donegal Golf Club. This links course, reputed to be the longest in Europe, has pine forests, the mountains and the Atlantic Ocen as a backdrop.

Cycling

Nearby Rossnowlagh is on the Kingfisher Trials costal loop, following back roads through the hills of Cashelard it arrives at the strand, the route back to Ballyshannon is along a further network of quiet lanes - perfect for care free cycling.

Surfing/Swimming

Rossnowlagh offers a Blue Flag Beach with life guard patrols in the summer months, therefor a very popular and safe spot for swimmers.

Back in the 1960's Rossnowlagh was the birth place of surfing in Ireland, and still to this day is one of the most desirable destinations in the country for surfers, equiptment can be hired from any one of the many surf clubs located in the area.
